The Cam Neely Foundation was launched in 1995 by Boston Bruins President and alumnus, Cam Neely, after he lost his parents, Marlene and Michael Neely, to cancer. This experience created the inspiration to help others living with cancer. With the dream of honoring his beloved parents and the hope of helping others, The Cam Neely Foundation was created to help cancer patients and their families during treatment. As millions of Americans will be diagnosed this year with some form of cancer, an understandable sense of urgency propels the Foundation’s mission.
Located in Boston, Massachusetts, The Cam Neely Foundation is a support driven 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is comprised of two parts: The Neely Cancer Fund and The Neely House. The Neely Cancer Fund supports treatment and research efforts while The Neely House provides a convenient, comfortable place to live, relax and talk to others while undergoing treatment.
Since its inception, the Foundation has raised over $33 million. The funds which have been directed to Tufts Medical Center have allowed us to design, fund and complete projects with immediate tangible results that have had a positive impact on thousands of families as they face such a difficult diagnosis. This special relationship with Tufts Medical Center ensures easy access to some of Boston’s world-renowned medical facilities and to unmatched compassionate care. Together, we recognize that everyone’s needs are unique and, therefore, we strive to provide whatever care, emotional support and hope possible to facilitate the healing process.
Since 9/11, we have been helping America’s heroes by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building specially adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. We are also committed to eradicating veteran homelessness and helping America to Never Forget September 11, 2001.
